ジェントルだけれど決して甘くはない街　ロンドン。

そこに生きている人々の誇りが街に形を与えています。

 

まだ冬の香りを残した３月のロンドンは、とても静かな光に彩られていました。

 

ほの暗い闇の中から見えた光。

静かに溶けるその光が知らせてくれたこと。

光と闇の中に淡く染まる人の気配が教えてくれた街の佇まい。

 

私はこの日常の光を集めたその先に「まれなこと」が見えてくると思いました。

 

かすかな人の気配を残す街のポートレート。

私は、この街のポートレートを撮るように、

その佇まいを優しく閉じ込めてあげることができればと感じました。

 

この街が持つ全ての光を集めたその先に秘められたもの。

その先にあるはずの「ごくまれな」物語を私は紡ぎたかったのです。

 

 

それは、Once in a Blue Moonに包まれたロンドンの物語。

”Once in a Blue Moon”

 

 

The city that is gentle but never too sweet, London.

Pride of the people living their life there shapes the streets.

 

The scent of the winter still lingering on, London, in March, was coloured with tranquil lights.

 

The lights seen from dusky darkness.

The lights melted into the darkness speaking to me.

The streets that project the presence of people stained with faint colours between the lights and the darkness.

 

I came to realise that aggregation of these mediocre lights would lead me to see “Something hard to be found” ahead.

 

This work is the portraits, which depict the scent of people still lingering on the streets.

I attempted to gentry enclose their presence as if I was shooting portraits of the streets.

 

Things that are hidden and can be found where all the lights of the streets are accumulated.

I tried to weave a story of “something hard to be found” that are hidden but can be seen beyond the reflection of the lights.

 

That is the story of London surrounded by “Once in a Blue Moon”.
